A dining nook is an excellent way of arranging your dining area. It is a fairly casual arrangement, but one that perfectly makes the most of a small space. It is often butted up against a kitchen bench and always looks cosy.
Glass top tables are however difficult to maintain. Dust and dirt tend to cling to it. You will have to wipe it clean every now and then to keep it free of finger prints. It also tends to showcase scratches prominently, particularly when used over a period of time. Compared to wood, the design choices are also limited.
Your dining room is the central focus of your home. It’s where you have your meals, dine with guests, sit back, relax, and laugh. The dining room has traditionally been a formal setting, but there’s no reason that the space can’t be formatted to be laid back and look great too.
A dining room also is an excellent place to show off your art collection, so you may want to find a color that complements the pieces you plan to display. The grassy green designer Muriel Brandolini chose for her Hampton Bays dining room highlights the colors in the space’s Thomas Trosch painting, proving that you don’t have to turn your home into a stark white gallery to showcase art.
